You get what you pay for.
I bought this for $40 a month and a half ago. I had been borrowing my friend's medela pump in style - she paid over $300 for somewhere. The medela has issues of its own. This pump is EXCELLENT FOR $40. Do not buy a $40 pump and expect it to pump as quickly and quietly as the medelas and other 200-300 products, because you will not get it. The pumping is loud, but I mostly pump at home or in a private room of someone's house with people I know so the loudness of the pump....DOESNT MATTER!?! Milk does come out of the horn when you remove it if you are rumdum and cannot simply figure out that to avoid this you must twist the bottle and horn off your breast in a manner that detaches with no pain but drains the residual milk into the bottle. Its not rocket science. The medela pump I borrowed did the EXACT same thing when you unlached it unless you grew a brain and learned to sweep the pump and horn downward or sideways for a split second as you detach it with your finger, as to...

Saved me!
I was traveling for work and my hospital grade pump that I normally used got liquid in the filter and would no longer work. I immediately ran to the store to find a manual pump and came across this inexpensive electric pump. I bought it and it worked great for the two days I used it until I could get a new filter overnighted to me for my everyday pump. I would highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive pump to use every once in awhile. It is not an everyday pump and specifically says so on the box. But would work great for a part-time working mother or someone that occasionally misses a feeding. The other reviews commented on how loud the pump was. I don't think it is any louder than my hospital grade pump and didn't bother me at all. Loved it and highly recommend!!!
Needed a pump in a pinch & this saved me. LOVE IT.
Let me preface this with saying I have 5 kids and nursed every single one of them. I've gone through the old style evenflo pump, Lansinoh, Medela Harmony, Philips Avent, and hospital-grade electric dual Medela pump.

Of them all, the hospital grade Medela worked the best, obviously. But of the remaining, I was really surprised that this Evenflo Simplygo pump is the best runner up of the group. I had to be induced for emergency reasons at 38 weeks. The baby was fine, but I had issues. She went home before I did, and I needed to pump to keep up my supply. When I got home after having surgery I had to pump and dump due to the medications I was on. I ran to Target and picked up this Evenflo because it was pretty inexpensive and I figured I would primarily nurse so I didn't need a pump for heavy usage.

Baby is now 6.5 months old and this pump works just as well as the day I bought it! All the other pumps (aside from the hospital-grade Medela) mysteriously lost...
