Big wows @ the Baby shower but not exactly portable, better for home use
This Binky sanitizer is easy enough to use once you get the hang of it. The Pipila Pod uses UV Light to Zap the germs and Kooties in a similar manner to the UV Light Toothbrush sanitzers you may already own. Operation: You open the circular pod's brightly colored lid, stick the binkie in yuckie side down into the hole, push the top back down, wait for the light to say Binkie is being cleaned. A few minutes later, the light goes off and and Voila! Clean Binkie! Be aware it does NOT come with the 2 triple A batteries you need to install in order to get it up & running. My advice, do not use the old acid batteries typically marked "Heavy Duty" that are made of Zinc & Carbon. Buy AKALINE batteries instead so you don't have to worry about corrosion on the battery contacts since the Unit is a moist environment & likely to be kept in more humid conditions.

Poor Quality---Cheaply made in China
The product was performing great when it worked the first 2 weeks. Then, the springs that hold the battery in place began to lose tension and the batteries would come loose. Overall, the product has a cheap quality. It screams manufactured in China.
Do not buy! Cheap, cheap, cheap quality. We have returned 2 of these sterilizers both due to the battery springs loosing tension.
like it --wish I knew it works
I like having this gizmo. It takes two pushes to get the process to begin. When the light goes on, you just close the top and wait. I wish there was a way to show that the germs are actually gone. I just trust that it does what it is supposed to do. It takes up a bit of space in the diaper bag, (about 2 fists worth) but I do have room for it. It looks spacy. I wish it were made to close and throw it in the bag to let it work. I have to set it on a table or so while it is working. Mine has been around for about a year not w/o it breaking. I am glad to have it. It definately gets attention and people think I am a cool mom in the know about all of the latest baby gizmos. Ha! Now if only there were a gizmo to get my toddler to stop taking my infant's pacifier in the first place. Then, I would hardly need this.
